INbuilt Project

All about the Workshops.

Knitting circle.

With Jeanette - Make a pocket to join the display, knitters of all levels (even those who have never knitted before) are welcome to come and join the knitting circle, materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own needles if you would prefer. 2nd March, 1pm.

Printing.

With Jeanette - Have a go at printing in this workshop, each piece will be added into the Coat of Arms collage and displayed in the shop. This could get messy, so please wear old clothing! 23rd Feb, 1pm.

Collage.

With Tessa - Put your house on the map! Create a drawing and collage of your house to put into a section of our Coat of Arms collage. Whether you live in a bungalow, flat, or semi-detached terrace, all these buildings make up the identity of Sandwell. Work with fabrics and paper, suitable for all ages. 24th Feb & 3rd March, 1pm.

Casting.

With Emma - Work alongside an experienced sculptor in this workshop. Redesign your own Sandwell Coat of Arms on paper and transfer this into a plaster cast from clay! This could get messy to wear an old t.shirt. 22nd Feb & 1st March, 1pm.

Paper jewellery.

With Tessa - What to do with all those newspapers? Turn them into beads! We're honouring Sandwell's industrial past with this eco-friendly activity. This something you can recreate at home, great for kids and grown-ups. Come along and learn how to make your own bracelet. Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th Feb, 2pm.

Voicebox.

Ever felt like your voice isn't heard? Everyday we will be asking for your opinion on something, from the weather to the price of eggs. Post your response on a slip of paper into the 'Voicebox', (found inside the shop). The next day a randomly selected response will be displayed in our shop window for all to see.
